Listed Building Alterations

Brief

Internal alterations to a B Listed country house conversion, relocating the kitchen to make better use of the space.

Main Outcomes

Revitalizing the living area by moving the kitchen into the heart of the home, freeing up spaces elsewhere for a snug.

Broomlands House, Kelso, dates from 1719 and is thought to have been designed by William Adam with mid C19th alterations. This handsome house was once the centre of a wider Broomlands estate, much of which now forms the residential suburb of Kelso.

Vellow Wood Architects submitted a Building Warrant application to Scottish Borders Council to enable the alterations.
